# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It comes together so fast you can make it on a weeknight without feeling rushed or stressed.
  • The contrast between crispy edges and gooey melted cheese is absolutely addictive.
  • You can use whatever chicken you have on hand, even leftovers from yesterday.
  • Everyone gets excited when they see flatbread coming out of the oven.
02 -
  • Don't overload the flatbread with sauce or toppings, or it will turn soggy and won't crisp up properly.
  • If your onions are too thick, they won't soften in time and can taste harsh.
  • Always preheat the oven fully before baking; a hot oven is what makes the base crispy.
  • Let the flatbread rest for a minute after baking so the cheese firms up just enough to slice cleanly.
03 -
  • Use parchment paper instead of foil; it prevents sticking and makes cleanup effortless.
  • If you're making multiple flatbreads, rotate the baking sheet halfway through so they cook evenly.
  • Leftover flatbread reheats beautifully in a hot skillet for a minute on each side to recrisp the bottom.
  • Always taste your BBQ sauce before using it; some are much sweeter or spicier than others.
